Extension to Restricted vehicle opening hours to Parish Council Land and Car Parks.
Due to recent events in nearby communities we are extending the period of closing for our open spaces for at least another two weeks.
The Parish Council has only a small staff team available to operate this closure and we cannot guarantee that they will be opened exactly at the times advertised due to other commitments. Unfortunately, due to recent complaints regarding inconsistencies in opening times, we have no choice but to alter our opening times to guarantee that they will be opened as advertised.
The open spaces are not closed, they can all be accessed by the pedestrian gates.
Great Down Park and Bursledon Cemetery gates will be closed at 6 pm each day and will not be opened until 7:30 am
Long Lane Recreation Ground will remain permanently locked and will only be open for Parish Council vehicles and contractors
We hope to return to normal openings as soon as possible and will be reviewing this position daily.
