Bursledon Parish Council are changing practices for the management of all matters regarding Bursledon Cemetery. New forms and processes are being introduced from April 2023 for greater clarity and consistency.

The most significant items to note are

The purchase of Rights of Burial or Transfer of Rights can only be completed by the family arranging an appointment to visit the Council Offices.

Payments must be made by BACS.

Bookings remain provisional until all paperwork and payment has been made.

Access to the cemetery for the Installation and Removal of memorials and grave digging is only allowed after prior arrangement has been made with the Council offices.

The Cemetery Regulations must be referred to for all matters and are on the Parish Council Website

To avoid misunderstandings the Parish Council will not provide any pre application advice.
