Bursledon Parish Council is made up of twelve councillors and supported by six members of staff. Funded by Bursledon residents it aims to keep Bursledon a great place to live maintaining the many amenities while delivering value for money.

Bursledon Parish Council is one of the many Parish and Town Councils across the country delivering services to local residents. Parish Councils are the tier of Government closest to residents. In the past a similar role was delivered by the parish church hence the name Parish Council remains, even though its role is now completely separate from the church.
