Welcome to Bursledon Parish Council

Bursledon is one of the older settlements in the Borough of Eastleigh. The civil parish extends southward of the M27 motorway, to the south and west at the boundary with adjoining Hound Civil Parish. To the east, the settlement fronts the tidal reaches of the River Hamble. Bursledon has its origins in the ship-building and repair activities focused on the river and more recently was also a key centre of the Market Garden industry in the late 19th early 20th centuries.

The meeting of Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound Local Area Committee scheduled for Thursday, 23 January 2020, 6:00 pm has been cancelled due to the planning application that was due to be determined being deferred.
