Bursledon Civil Parish is located on the Western bank of the River Hamble in Southern Hampshire; and includes the villages of Bursledon, Lowford and most of Old Netley.

Bursledon Council is made up of a team of 12 Elected Councillors and 6 permanent members of staff; together they manage assets that provide services for the local community.

Bursledon Council offices are located in the Lowford Community Centre.

Funded by Bursledon residents, Bursledon Council maintains many local amenities whilst delivering value for money and ensuring Bursledon is a great place to live.

Bursledon Civil Parish Council is one of the many Parish and Town Councils across the country delivering services to local residents. Civil Parish Councils are the tier of Government closest to residents. In the past a similar role was delivered by the parish church hence the name Parish Council remains, even though its role is now completely separate from the church.
